Stardust, by Neil Gaiman

Fetch a falling star, it won’t fit into your pocket, never let it get away….

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder, some starless night!

Stardust is the story of a half immortal young man, (who does not realize he is partially immortal), that sets out on a journey to retrieve a fallen star as a gift for who he believes is the girl of his dreams. Will he be able to capture a fallen star? If so can he return with such an elaborate gift? Most importantly, will he understand that ‘sometimes the very thing you’re looking for is the one thing you can’t see’?

A unique fantasy, I recommend ‘Stardust’ to fantasy lovers as well as to those who feel this genre is not their style. I previously have not been a fan of the fantasy genre, however I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing story.
