Miles Roby has forgone his college education and
chance to leave the old mill town to stay and work at the local greasy spoon
restaurant. His daughter and ex-wife need his help surviving high school and
small-town living. As he tries to make a better life for his daughter and
himself, old family history revisits him and he has to struggle with the town's
benefactor to make a clean break.
