Heartwarming
Sabrina serves coffee at the same time every morning to Tucker McCabe at a Nantucket café. Every morning he reads the newspaper, taking a full twenty minutes on each article. Then one morning Tucker asks Sabrina if she could chat for a minute. Tucker uses the fact that she does research for a local mystery writer to encourage her help in finding the person named "Sweatpea", to whom he has been writing for the last year. He tells her that he wants to meet this mystery woman in person because he has feelings for her and wants to get to know her better.
Sabrina doesn’t know, but he already knows that she is "Sweetpea". He feels he has to be very careful, because, knowing "Sweetpea", she might just run if he gets close at all. He must wait for her to come to him.
Sabrina already identified Tucker as "Harbormaster" when he sent a picture of himself to "Sweetpea". She has already fallen hard for Tucker thru online communication but wants to keep it a secret. She must not let him find out about that regrettable incident that took place, which ties him to her past. So she agrees to help him in order to lead the investigation astray.
I enjoyed the twists and surprises in this heartwarming and humorous Christian romance. Denise Hunter has written three other novels, or Nantucket love stories. She wrote "Seaside Letters" to show the love of Christ thru relationships, and she knows how to convey the chemistry between the two main characters without being trashy.
