Taking Chances, by Molly McAdams

Harper is leaving home for the first time to go to college.  She was raised by her military father on army bases and her friends have always been the men who served under her father.  Harper is ready to live life on her own terms and experience new and exciting things.

A love triangle quickly develops when Harper falls in love with her roommate’s brother Chase and one of his friends named Brandon who also happens to be his roommate.   A misunderstanding leads to tragedy and through it all Harper finds a way to be happy again.

I was in a love/hate relationship with Harper through most of this book.  At times she seemed to be selfish and other times naïve.  Sometimes I liked Chase and other times I hated how he treated Harper and Brandon.  Brandon was my favorite character.  He was an absolute sweetheart.  He was always loyal and honest with Harper about his feelings for her.

Despite all the turmoil and drama in the book, it was a easy read.  Once I started the book I couldn’t put it down.

  1. Another amazing book by Molly. This story is wonderful. But beware, read with a box of tissues. This story is a roller coaster of emotions. This could easily be a real life story. And although its tough to pick iam team chase all the way. Read this book. U wont regret it
