A Quest to find the Lost
A gripping mystery with very strong characterization.
A young boy is determined to find his twin sister who disappeared the year before. The detective over the case, weighted down by guilt in his failure to solve the case, is drawn to the child and his mother.
While certainly bleak at times, the caring, morally strong characters make for an uplifting story.

I will never forget this book and it's characters. It has touched my heart like no book has in many years. Hart writes just as each character would speak or think and sometimes that takes you past the edge of sanity. Sometimes the person simply has to escape the pain, physical and emotional. I was able to get into the characters so completely that I could almost smell poor Levi.
