This was a fascinating book about getting what you thought you want. The story centers around Henry VIII and Catherine Parr. Catherine Parr as a little girl imagines herself as the wife of Henry VIII. King Henry VIII was a very charismatic and powerful man, with a nice amount of sex appeal. The story eventually follows their story through their marriage and war.
One of the most enjoyable characters of the story is the setting. Carolly Erickson does a great job placing the reader inside this time period.
