This is a very sweet story of a young, newly-married pioneer woman, Marty, traveling west with her husband, Clem. Along the way, Clem unexpectedly dies on the wagon trail. Marty later learns that she is about two months pregnant with Clem’s child with no money and no home to go to.
Marty soon meets a widower, Clark, who needs a mother for his young daughter. He offers Marty a home and security if she will become his wife with the sole purpose of caring for his young daughter. They agree to get married on a trial basis, but perhaps it will develop into something more…
